It keeps raining. The tulips in the front yard are thick and mighty, but I still feel stuck here.
Yesterday, I sauntered down to the Mid City Mall and saw Funny Games. First off, I think Mel Brooks should be the only actor allowed to look into the camera and address the audience. MIchael Pitt's character did this twice and it was a big hinderance to the already strenuous pacing. I don't dislike slow paced shots, but some of the longer scenes in this film made me cringe with annoyance, they were completely unnecessary. As well, the acting was pretty bland. The director is at fault, completely, coz there are some great actors there. After one really brutal scene, the actors react like complete idiots, fumbling around and not actually emoting. It makes sense that they're in shock, but this was another aspect that caused me to throw up my hand and flip off the screen.
The premise is good, kind of played, but it can be pulled off, for sure. In the future, I hope this director tries to go further into his plot and not just ride on the premise for 90 mins.
There's a new band me and some gay guys are starting called BEER BREATH. Look out for that smell.
Fuck her mind, so they can fuck her silly!
